The odds of winning are decreasing. While Sterling was a spectator to the England second-half pyrotechnics, it was the Manchester City forward that provided the spark at game's start when Kane's opening goal was created by his clever pass and driving run. From the beginning, he has been England's most dangerous man.It is interesting to note that the Raheem sterling of summer 2020 is very different from the Raheem Silver of spring 2020, when he lost both his form and his place as a Manchester City player. Sterling's critics are quick to point out that Sterling has only scored once in 16 appearances for his club side. His last appearance was in the Champions League final, where he was forced into submission by Reece James. This context makes it easy to debate Sterling's place in the England team. That was back then. Now, let's return to the present. A penny or two for Pep Guardiola's thoughts.
