Suns' Chris Paul Says Extra Rest Before NBA Finals Is Helping Hand Injury Heal

TerrillChris Paul, Phoenix Suns point guard, revealed Wednesday to reporters that he had partially torn ligaments in the right side of his hand in an MRI before his team's win over Los Angeles Clippers (130-103) in Game 6.Paul said that the rest between Suns' series victory over the Clips, and their eventual NBA Finals appearance, is helping him recover.Paul stated, "Each day we've had off was really good and we all get the chance to rest up before we get going again."Paul scored 41 points in Game 6, despite the injury. This put the Suns into the NBA Finals, for the first time since 1993.Paul replied, "I managed it well," when he was asked how he was still able to participate in the series despite his injury.The winner of the Eastern Conference Finals series will face Phoenix, which is between the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks. Milwaukee was ahead by three games to two in that series before Game 6 on Saturday, Atlanta. Game 7 would be played in Milwaukee, if necessary.Although the NBA Finals schedule has not been confirmed, the Eastern Conference Finals will be played. However, the Suns have home-court advantage due to their better regular-season record than Atlanta and Milwaukee.On a date yet to be determined, they'll host Game 1 at Phoenix Suns Arena.
