It is depicted as innocent and funny because he is a little geek. The film is also filled with racism, sexism and LGBTQ slurs.maryrwightLong Duk Dong, an extremely racist caricature, seemed to do little more than make a joke about Asian stereotypes. There was also the scene where Ted raped Caroline intoxicated. I don't know how this movie became a cult favorite. It's not a product its time.
