He did not provide any details about a timeline for his return.Antetokounmpo was not able to attend Thursday's Game 5, which was a 123-112 Bucks victory that gave Milwaukee a 3-2 lead in the best of seven matchup.Before Game 5, he was listed as doubtful. He was then ruled out.Chris Haynes, Yahoo Sports' reporter on Friday, reported that Antetokounmpo was being considered for Game 7, if Atlanta wins Game 6. This would avoid elimination.Antetokounmpo was a two-time NBA MVP Winner and five-time All NBA player. The Bucks finished third in Eastern Conference, taking down the Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets and then the playoffs. Before facing the Hawks, Antetokounmpo averaged 28.1 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.The Bucks were without him and went to Bobby Portis for the start lineup on Thursday.Portis, who scored 11.4 points per game during the regular season and dropped 22 in Game 5 to make Milwaukee the first NBA Finals team since 1974.
