He says that he loves the hooper and wants him to stay.There is speculation that the 24-year old could be traded in this offseason, after Philly was eliminated from the Eastern Conference semifinals for third consecutive season.Simmons received a lot of criticism for his performance in the playoffs, after he was 34% away from the charity stripe. Many believe that Simmons needs to work hard in the offseason.Simmons was also criticized for missing a game-tying dunk in Game 7 against Hawks.Doc, however, is not having any of that talk... and he has nothing but praise for the former #1 overall selection.Rivers said this week in Beverly Hills, "Ben's great." Rivers said, "I want him back. He is amazing. He will be great."I don't think he needs a lot of work. He will be a great friend for us. He will be great."Rivers supports Simmons but that doesn't necessarily mean there won't be a trade. It's just nice to see him stick by his man.
