Etihad Airways has launched a codeshare network with EL AL Israel Airlines and a reciprocal loyalty agreement to frequent flyers.Manchester Airport image, Economy Class and Beyond: Etihad Boeing 777-3300ER arrivingThis follows the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the airlines in 2020, following the signing of the Abraham Accords by Israel and the UAE.NetworksEl Al will also add its LY code as part of the new move to Etihad's existing twice weekly service between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv. This new partnership will go beyond Etihads Abu Dhabi hub and will include destinations in Australia and the Philippines as well as India, Korea and Philippines starting 1 August.Next steps will see Etihad extend its codeshare agreement to offer additional destinations in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. This will be possible by adding the EY code of Etihad to EL AL flights. This is subject to governmental approvals.Frequent flyer reciprocityFor those who travel, members of the Etihad Guest or Matmid programs will be able redeem and earn miles on flights between both carrier networks.
