British Airways launched a June sale that allowed Executive Club members to purchase Avios with a 50% bonus. The sale ends tomorrow, July 4,2021.Executive Club has set a limit of 100,000 Avios one can buy in any given calendar year, before any bonuses. This sale raises the limit to 200,000 (max 300K if you add the bonus). This offer can be accessed on the BAs website.BA sells Avios at different prices in Europe, the UK and the USA (depending on account address). It seems that Europe is the most affordable option. You'll notice a big difference in the prices.Bonus TablePriceThis offer offers Avios at a low price of 1.2 Eurocents. The USD purchase price is however much higher. These sales have a maximum bonus of 50%. The price of Avios is dependent on the location where you are based. British Airways previously offered a 75% bonus to its affiliate credit card holders. If you are able to use your Avios for Reward Flight Savers with minimal taxes/fees (a popular option when traveling between London and European cities), you may also be eligible for a 2-4-1 redemption coupon and you are a Gold Guest list member (greater availability) + you can combine all of this with an upgrade voucher. Some partners charge very little or no fuel surcharges. Avios can be used for these or short-medium-haul business classes flights, which can make them a great deal.ConclusionBA has very high fuel surcharges for their awards so it is not a good idea to redeem long-haul economy flight tickets on their metal. There are some exceptions though, which are always the case.Although it can sometimes be difficult to find BAs awards, they are readily available due to low demand. These are the terms and conditions of this promotion:
