Summer Wells, a 5-year old girl, has been missing from Hawkins County in Tennessee since June. (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation). Two weeks have passed since Summer Wells disappeared, a 5-year-old girl from Hawkins County in Tennessee. Investigators are still trying to find the girl but rumours and lack of suspects as well as zealous tippers have complicated the rescue efforts.Candus Bly, Summer's mother, spoke on WJHL (a local broadcaster) to talk about her daughter's disappearance.Ms. Bly stated to reporters that her mother, Summer, Summer, and her sons were all planting flowers the day her little girl disappeared.I followed Summer all the way to the porch and watched as she walked into the kitchen, where the boys were watching TV. I told them to watch Summer and I would be back in two minutes. I asked them where their sister was. She said that she had gone downstairs to play with her toys in our playroom.Ms. Bly claimed that she called her daughter to ask for her, but she did not hear back. Ms. Bly claims that the little girl didn't answer her call so she went to the basement to search for her.I believe that someone has come up to her and taken her, she said. She made a direct plea for help to the kidnappers. She said that she prayed for anyone who has my daughter to be safe and sound and not harm her.It is not clear why Ms. Bly believes that someone lured her from her house. She has so far not provided any evidence to support this belief.I am just afraid that someone is hurting me and there's nothing you can do. She said that it smothered her.Don Wells, the father of the girl, believes that his daughter was kidnapped by a criminal. He stated that he believed that a kidnapper had come down a hill near their house, grabbed Ms Bly and put her in a car before driving off. Like Ms Bly, Mr Wells did not present any evidence to support his claim.Continue the storyAlthough Ms. Bly did not appear to have seen anyone, there are many people who claim to know more about the disappearance of the little girl. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has received over 650 tips regarding the disappearance of the girl. However, many of these tips seem to be empty speculation or dead ends. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has requested that only credible information is submitted to the tips lines in order to avoid wasted time digging through rumours. The agency stated in a tweet that sharing speculations or rumours makes it more difficult to enforce the law by increasing the number non-credible tips.Investigators claimed they were frustrated by the absence of credible suspects as well as the rugged terrain in which the alleged abduction occurred. Both Mr. Wells and Mrs. Bly addressed the rumours that a red truck was present at the time the girl was abducted. He said that there will always be haters and that they will always be this way in the world. We will just try to be grateful for the Christian friends and people who are willing to pray for us.He claimed that they did not know anything about... no red truck. This refers to a vehicle witnesses said they saw in the vicinity around the time Summer was believed to be abducted. The driver has not been identified as a suspect by police, but he is being sought to be a witness to what happened to Summer.Ms. Bly also addressed this truck but stated that she didn't know of anyone who had driven a red Toyota pickup. She said that it was strange that she had never seen the truck before. It's something I haven't heard of until recently. I hope they will come forward to explain. Even if you are not a suspect in the case, you should at least speak up and tell what you have seen.TBI has requested the public's assistance in finding the child. At this point, the agency doesn't appear to be treating parents as suspects. Both Mr. Wells and Mrs. Bly have criminal histories outside of Tennessee. He was convicted of several violent felonies, and served time in prison. His convictions include burglaries, drug charges, and parole violations in Texas, Utah, and Arkansas. After Ms Bly had accused him of domestic abuse, Mr Wells was taken into custody last October. When he was taken into custody, he was found drunk and trying to drive up his driveway. These charges were dropped in less than a week.Ms. Bly has a history in Wisconsin. She was most recently guilty of misdemeanour domestic abuse charges. However, evidence of a criminal history is not enough to prove guilt or complicity by Summer's parents.Ms. Bly isn't the first to deal with the mysterious disappearances of loved ones. In 2009, Rose Marie Bly disappeared from her St. Croix Falls home.Although I don't know everything or what happened, I do hope they find Rose Mary Bly, Ms Bly stated. It is absurd. How can someone disappear and not be heard or seen? It is very devastating.Although rescue efforts are being reduced in the area, Church Hill Rescue Squad which coordinates the search said that it was not a sign that they were abandoning the search. The group stated in a statement that, even though we might not be perceived as a significant presence in the area, we will continue to work until Summer Wells is found.Continue readingTennessee's transgender bathroom sign law is being challengedSummer Wells disappeared?
