Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo Doubtful for ECF Game 6 vs. Hawks with Knee Injury

Brynn Anderson/Associated PressThe status of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antitookounmpo for Game 6 in the Eastern Conference Finals is not looking good.Per Shams Charania, of The Athletic and Stadium Antetokounmpo has been officially listed as doubtful for Saturday’s game against Atlanta Hawks.Two-time MVP Antetokounmpo hyperextended his left leg Tuesday against the Hawks. However, Antetokounmpo was not found to have any structural damage to his ligaments. The Bucks did not give a timeline for his return.After the Greek Freak missed Game 5, but the Bucks managed to win 123-112 to lead the series 3-2. This resulted in the conference finals being robbed of two of the most talented players on the floor. Atlanta Hawks star Trae was forced to withdraw from Games 4 and 5, due to a bone injury in his foot.Antetokounmpo has averaged 28.2 points through 15 postseason games. He also leads the league with 12.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists. Antetokounmpo has been the catalyst for the Bucks' return in conference-deciding series play and is undoubtedly the most valuable player in the league.Milwaukee might have to go it alone to secure a spot in the NBA Finals.Antetokounmpo was replaced by Bobby Portis in Game 5. He scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds in just 36 minutes. However, it will take a whole team effort to replace Antetokounmpo’s scoring and playmaking.The Bucks will likely rely more heavily on Khris Middleton to provide the former, while Portis and P.J. will be used for the latter. Brook Lopez and Tucker are expected to assist with the former.
