Sean M. Haffey/Getty ImagesDave Roberts, Los Angeles Dodgers manager, doesn't think Trevor Bauer's sexual assault allegations will have any impact on the team's performance.Roberts' statement to reporters came hours after Major League Baseball placed Bauer on seven-day administrative leave. This was in anticipation of an investigation by the league. Pasadena police confirmed Wednesday that an investigation into Bauer had been opened several weeks back.Brittany Ghiroli and Katie Strang of The Athletic reviewed a document of 67 pages submitted by a woman who claimed that Bauer physically and sexually assaulted her twice.According to Strang and Ghiroli, medical records show that the woman experienced black eyes, swelling and bleeding on her lips, as well as significant bruising and scratching. She also claimed that Bauer made her lose consciousness multiple times and sexually assaulted the woman while she was unconscious in what started as a consensual encounter. On Thursday, the Dodgers manager stated to reporters that Bauer would likely make his scheduled start on Sunday. He said the league had recommended that Bauer be kept in the lineup.Bauer, who, through his agents, denied the allegation has decided not to appeal the league’s decision and will miss that start after his administrative leave. The MLB is still investigating the allegations against Trevor Bauer. The league released a statement saying that while no decision has been made in the case, they have decided to immediately place Mr. Bauer on seven day administrative leave.
