The Enforcement Directorate stated that a provisional order under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act was issued to attach the assets of four individuals, which is worth Rs 8.79 million.The central probe agency stated that the attachment value for Khan is Rs 3 Crore, while it is Rs 1.4 Crore for Dino Morea. It is Rs 1.98 Crore for Aqel Abdulkhalil Bakooali, also known as DJ Aqeel. And for Irfan Ahmad Siddiqui who is Patel’s son-in law, it's Rs 2.41 crore.According to the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Nitin Sandesara & Chetan Sandesara were the absconding promoters for the Sterling Biotech group and "diverted" the proceeds of crime to these four individuals.A special court declared the promoter brothers, Nitin Sandesara and Chetan Sandesara along with Dipti Sandesara, Chetan’s wife, and Hitesh Patel fugitive economic offenders, it stated.Money-laundering refers to the alleged Rs 14.500 crore bank-loan fraud that Sterling Biotech and its principal promoters and directors are accused of perpetrating.
