Some people are able to make a lot of money by pretending to be friends with people they don't actually like. They portray a relationship that is not reflected in real life. It's a good gig, if you can do it. Although we assumed the basic idea behind acting was well-known, it is not clear why people's worldviews are being shaken by the revelation that Rory (Alexis Bledel), and Lane (Keiko Aggena) were not in fact best friends in real life.AdvertisementEW reports that Agena said so during an appearance on Scott Patterson's podcast I Am All In. Bledel, who was wearing a baseball-cap-wearing Luke, stated that she wished they had more of a relationship. This seems more considerate than anything.Agena, who was extremely young when she was cast as Stars Hollow's coolest teenager, was only 27 at the time. Bledel was 19. Perhaps the fact that Bledels was her first acting gig and the fact that their ages were eight years apart meant that they didn't have much in common.Agena isn't going to be a badmouth for Bledel, after all. Patterson is actually told the exact opposite. Alexis tells Patterson that Alexis is a wonderful person and that when you meet her as a person you instantly recognize that she is intelligent and special. We also have a story about how Lorelai felt about Luke.
