Amex Expands The Global Lounge Collection, Makes Changes to Access for Guests and Children

These additions are mainly due to the rebranding existing airport lounges. American Express also announced changes in guest access to its lounges, and lower fees for children.Centurion Lounge CollectionU.S. U.S. Platinum and Business Platinum Card members will now have greater access to airport lounges and other premium amenities while they travel. This new lounge collection now includes:Escape Lounges: The Centurion Studios Partner: Escape Lounges in the U.S., which are cobranded Escape Lounges The Centurion Partner, will be updated by Escape Lounges, a Global Lounge Collection partnership, and rebranded as Escape Lounges The Centurion Partner. Card members will be able to access a complimentary premium bar, snack, and The Centurion Library digital library, which includes a full menu and bar. Access to the full menu and bar will be free for Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card members who are Platinum or Delta SkyMiles Platinum card holders.Expanded Centurion Lounge network: Platinum and Delta SkyMiles Reserve card members will now have access more than 40 Centurion lounges and studio locations around the world. Centurion Lounges will be created from the American Express International Lounge network. American Express has changed its Centurion Lounge guest access policy.Beginning February 1, 2023, U.S. American Express Business Platinum Card members and Additional Platinum Card Member on their accounts will be subject to a $50 charge for every guest 18 years or older they bring into selected Centurion Lounge locations. Card members with children between the ages of two and 17 years old (with evidence of age) will be subject to a $30 charge per child.Card members can get complimentary guest access for two people per visit if they spend $75,000 or more each year on eligible purchases. This applies starting in 2022 and continuing each year.This policy change is applicable to all U.S. locations, including the London Heathrow location (LHR), and the Hong Kong location (HKG).
