Athleisure's popularity has driven athletic apparel sales through the roof over the past few years, with yoga clothing brand Lululemon solidifying its status as a household name. Its footprint has grown significantly of late, with the brand even branching out into the beauty space with a gender-neutral range of skin-care products over the summer. And now, it's officially venturing into the luxury fashion world.

On Tuesday, Lululemon announced its first high-fashion collection, created in partnership with womenswear label Roksanda. Melding Lulu's technical innovation in athleticwear and Roksanda's feminine aesthetic, the limited-edition collaboration merges form with function.

The collection pairs Lululemon's classic athletic silhouettes combined with Roksanda's unconventional color story - think hibiscus, violet, sienna, mustard and midnight blue. The 16 mix-and-match pieces from the fall capsule include a puffer coat, tank tops and (of course) leggings, all of which are intended to function for a variety of different climates. Pricing ranges from $78 for a tank to $998 for a coat that can also function as a puffer, vest or trench.

The first drop of the limited-edition line will be available for purchase starting Oct. 22, followed by the second drop in January 2020.
