Turkey eases travel rules from 1 July

Turkey has removed many restrictions that were imposed on tourists starting in July. According to information provided by Turkish Tourism, the new unlock rules include the removal of night curfew restrictions that apply on weekends for tourists and locals.All restaurants, bars and dining options will be operational. Covid guidelines do not apply to entertainment venues such as concert halls or cinema halls.The 14-day quarantine for Indian citizens who have traveled to India in the past 14 days will be maintained. These travellers will be able to choose to stay at a quarantine hotel of choice, at their own expense.According to reports, quarantine rules for travelers from countries with the more serious delta coronavirus will not be lifted. Turkish Tourism however, has dismissed news reports that Turkey has stopped direct travel from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, South Africa and India due to the new coronavirus variants as misleading.Turkish authorities informed us that 42% of our population has been vaccinated with the least-effective dose. They hope to completely vaccinate 70% by August.
