The total amount you need to earn Avios is $5,000.Avios are valued at 1.0 cents per Avio (based on how much I know I can get from my Avios), so 100,000 Avios is equivalent to a $1,000 bonus. This, along with the low spending requirements to earn the bonus, makes it one of the most attractive welcome offers on these cards.The cards continue to offer higher earnings for IAG Group airlines spending and direct hotel spending. They also offer rich Avios sources in the first 12 month of card membership.These cards may not be the best option for those looking to quickly earn lots of Avios, however, I will say that they could provide a great return on investment.Bottom lineChase has updated the welcome offers for all three Avios-earning credit card cards. New cardholders of the British Airways Visa Card, Aer Lingus Visa Card, and Iberia Visa Card now have a fairly economical path to 100,000 Avios. In the first year, all three cards offer improved earning rates for Avios-earning airlines as well as higher earning rates for hotel spending.
