Apple Extends Partnership With (RED) to Combat COVID-19 Until December 30

Apple announced last year that 100 percent of the eligible proceeds from (PRODUCT.RED) purchases would be directed to the Global Fund's COVID-19 response to "provide critical support for health systems most endangered by the outbreak" in sub-Saharan Africa. This will take place until June 30, 2021. The company has now extended the deadline to December 30, 2021.Apple formed a partnership with (RED), in 2006 to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic sub-Saharan Africa. This partnership covers several projects, including Apple-supported grant programs and donations of more than $250,000,000 to the Global Fund's HIV/AIDS programmes through Apple's PRODUCT(RED) purchases.Apple sells a variety of (PRODUCT]RED products. These include accessories and devices such as the (PRODUCT]RED iPhone 12 mini and (PRODUCT]RED Apple Watch Series 6. There are many cases available in (PRODUCT]RED, including the leather and silicone MagSafe case. All eligible proceeds from these sales will go to the Global Fund's COVID-19 response until December 30th.Apple will donate $1 for every Apple Pay purchase, whether it is made on apple.com, in an Apple Store app or in person, to the Global Fund's COVID-19 response.
