Gebrder Weiss received the Gold Export Prize from the Austrian Economic Chambers for Transport and Traffic on June 29. This prestigious award was presented to the company at Vienna's MuseumsQuartier's Exporters Nite. The jury stated that this logistics company was able to expand its international network in spite of difficult circumstances.2020 will mark our largest expansion. This is why the WKO awarded us this special award. Gebrder Weiss managed to open 24 new locations across five countries despite the Corona crisis. This was done entirely remotely and without any staff present. These locations have now been fully integrated and make a significant contribution to our network. They are also starting to form an important backbone to ensure the success of export-oriented clients, according to Lothar Thoma (Managing Director Air and Sea, Gebrder Weiss).Expanded worldwide networkGebrder Weiss consolidated its German location structure last year by purchasing Ipsen Logistics. It also entered markets in Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and Malaysia. This company currently employs 405 people at its new locations. Gebrder Weiss employs approximately 7,400 people worldwide.
