SAL Saudi Logistics Services (SAL), an industry leader in air cargo handling, has appointed Eng. Hesham bin Abdulla alhussayen will take over the position of acting chief executive officer (CEO), replacing Omar Hariri. Hesham will also move to Saudi Ports Authority, (Mawani), in the role as CEO.Fawaz bin Mohamed Al Fawaz, Chairman of SAL said: Eng. Hesham Alhussayen, who has been SAL's Chief Operations Officer (COO), has earned the trust of the Board and has more than 25 years of experience in leadership roles at several prominent Saudi companies. We see great potential to grow the business and implement our strategy. The SAL transitional period will not impact our operations and will provide a new opportunity for SAL to improve logistics services at all the main airports in the Kingdom. Eng. His leadership made SAL an independent joint stock cargo ground-handling company that was separate from Saudi Airlines Cargo Company. This resulted in better quality and more efficient services. Omar also led SAL through major challenges during the initial stages of the pandemic.
