Marco Silva: Fulham in advanced talks to appoint former Everton and Watford boss as new head coach

Fulham are in advanced discussions to appoint Marco Silva their new head coach.Silva, a former Everton and Watford boss, is Fulham’s top target. He is also the only candidate they spoke to after Scott Parker's departure from Craven Cottage. Scott Parker left Craven Cottage on Monday for Bournemouth. All parties believe that an agreement can be reached with the Portuguese, aged 43 years old.Silva was out of work since December, when Everton sacked him following a 5-2 defeat by Liverpool in December 2019, during Silva's second campaign as manager. He had previously managed Watford before he was fired in January 2018. The Hornets blame Everton's "unwarranted" approach for him that season for their decision.Silva originally moved to England in January 2017 to manage Hull City, but he resigned shortly after being relegated from the Premier League.Fulham was 18th in Premier League last season, as Parker's immediate return to the Championship saw them finish 18th.
