Warner Bros. has rearranged its fall release schedule. The eagerly-awaited "Dune", however, has been delayed again. However, Variety reports that it was only for three weeks. It will be available from Oct. 1-2021 to Oct. 22-2021.Legendary Pictures will produce the movie, which adapts the first half of Frank Herbert's "Dune” novels. Denis Villeneuve will direct the movie. The Coronavirus pandemic, however, has caused havoc on almost every TV and movie in the past 18 months. It was originally scheduled for November last year. The decision to simultaneously make it available on HBO Max's streaming service has been controversial.Villeneuve has made it clear that he wants "Dune" to be a theatrical release. However, it doesn't appear like that will happen. It remains to be seen how this will impact the box office and subsequent production of "Dune", which would effectively be part II.New York Comic Con is two weeks away and the schedule has not been released yet. The new release date will be available in October. There are still reasons to hope for a panel or new footage. We haven't seen a trailer in eight months so we hope we get one before October.
