Netflix announced the cast of the My Little Pony: A New Generation movie. This is good news for children, who are likely the intended audience for this film. But, it's sure to be exciting for the My Little Pony fans.AdvertisementVariety reports that the new Netflix movie will feature Vanessa Hudgens and James Marsden as well as Orange Is The New Blacks Kimiko Len. The film will also feature Sofia Carson, Liza Koshy and Elizabeth Perkins as well as Jane Krokowski, Phil LaMarr and Michael McKean. It hits Netflix September 24, 2021. James Corden is not part of the film's cast, but that's before you ask. To calm Corden-based separation anxiety, Ken Jeong has been brought aboard by the producers. This fulfills that mysterious requirement that Corden and Jeong be in every piece of media possible. Here's the summary from Variety:Equestria has suffered the unimaginable. Unicorns, Earth Ponies and Pegasi have become enemies and live apart. The idealistic Earth Pony Sunny, aka Vanessa Hudgens, is determined to restore harmony and enchantment to their world. The pair team up with Unicorn Izzy (Kimiko Ginn) to travel faraway lands, where they meet the charismatic and brave Pegasi Pegasi Pipp and Zipp (Liza Koshy), and the responsible Earth Pony Hitch. Their misadventures are not uncommon, but their new best friends have unique and special gifts that could be the perfect solution for this pony-verse to restore magic and show that even small ponies can make a difference. What will the reaction of grown-ups to Equestria's New Generation be? It will probably be a disaster for them, but it is possible to find someone who will love it. Children. Children, enjoy My Little Pony! It's yours. It's all yours.
