James Franco Settles Sexual Misconduct Lawsuit for $2.235 Million

We are now learning the financial terms and costs of James Franco's settlement for his sexual misconduct case four months ago. It cost him about a couple of million.Court documents made public Wednesday revealed the amount. It shows Franco, his production company Rabbit Bandini Productions and Studio 4, as well as other parties, will pay $2,235,000 to settle the suit. It still requires a judge's approval. If the settlement is approved, Franco's ex-students, Sarah Tither-Kaplan (who filed the class action suit in October 2020 during the height of #MeToo), and Toni Gaal (who filed the class-action lawsuit in October 2020 during the height of #MeToo), will receive $670,500 each, but they will need to pay a portion to their lawyers.Other students who participated in the lawsuit will receive a portion of $1.341 million... less due to attorney's fees and costs. We reported previously that Franco, who opened the school back in 2014, has been closed down. Students have accused him of placing them in sexually exploitative situations.Franco, the students claimed, pushed them to perform intimate and explicit sex scenes within an "orgy-type setting". They claim this was way beyond what they were used to shooting such scenes.
