Joe Schilling Bar Fight, Alleged Victim Planning To Press Charges

Joe Schilling punched Joe Schilling in the face at a bar on Sunday. Now, the man is planning to file charges against the MMA fighter... TMZ Sports confirmed.According to Robert Solomon, his attorney, the alleged victim was Justin Balboa, 31 years old. He has been taken to police and will cooperate in prosecuting him for a battery charge.Solomon states, "It is unbelievable that [Schilling] believed it was OK just to haul off and crack someone twice like that." "Schilling is fortunate that we are not dealing with a case of manslaughter."Video of the incident shows Balboa getting rocked repeatedly in the head by Schilling at Fort Lauderdale's bar on Sunday night.After they had met in a walkway close to the bar, Schilling was seen on the footage whale watching at Balboa.According to police documents, officers say that Balboa said that he didn't know why Schilling had hit him.Schilling claims Balboa was bothering him and his family all night... and that he hit Balboa in self-defense.Schilling said, "I was afraid for my life,"According to the docs officers claim that a witness said it seemed like the confrontation ended because Balboa had "possibly made an inappropriate remark" regarding Schilling's significant other.Solomon tells us that he believes that his client didn't deserve the punches. He says, however, "The video clearly demonstrates another story."Solomon spoke out about Schilling, saying that "the reality is it is this guy took it too far."Solomon said that he will be filing a civil suit against Schilling this week... adding that Schilling suffered facial and head injuries in the altercation.
