However, the Black Panther himself Chadwick Boseman will not be in the second movie.Feige said that it was very emotional without Chad before the Black Widow Global Fan Event Tuesday night. Everyone is excited to share the Wakanda world with the public. We're going to do it in such a way as to make Chad proud.Marvel has already stated that they won't digitally recreate Boseman in the sequel or attempt to replace Boseman with Black Panther. Fiege didn't give any details about Wakanda Forever but it is reported that the film will be more focused on the afrofuturistic world Wakanda. Danai Guerra, Letitia Wright and Daniel Kaluuya are likely to return from the original film. Lupita Nyongo and Florence Kasumba will also be returning. Angela Bassett is not expected to join them.Black Panthers was released in 2018 and quickly became an international success, setting many box office records and becoming the highest-grossing superhero film in American history. It shattered the myth that Black-fronted films weren't financially viable and became a popular culture phenomenon. Black Panther is still a notable character in Marvel Cinematic Universe.Coogler signed a deal to produce a series about Wakanda Forever. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will premiere in theaters July 8, 2022.
