Bluetooth headphones will connect wirelessly to United's new planes

AirPods fans rejoice. United's new Boeing 737 Max 8 aircrafts allow passengers to connect wireless Bluetooth headphones for in-flight entertainment. They should be flying by the end of this summer. This upgrade is part of the company’s "United Next” plan. It aims to modernize United's fleet with larger and more fuel-efficient aircraft. This is a welcome addition. There is one problem. The Verge points to the fact that everyone trying to connect headphones via Bluetooth on a plane at once can cause interference, which could make it a little annoying. The Verge reports that United does not appear to have any plans to address this issue yet. However, it claims that they are still studying the technology. It'll be great to be able to connect directly to a pair Beats Studio Buds or AirPods, and ditch Bluetooth transmitters.
