Summer 2021: New Bahamian Beachfront Dining OpeningsBaha Mar has announced Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House, which is the latest addition to their impressive culinary portfolio. Marcus Samuelsson, six-time James Beard Award-winning chef, will be the head of the restaurant. Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House, which opened on July 12, celebrates Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s passion for exploring flavors. He shares his new take on comfort foods and finds the best Bahamian seafood.Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House is set against the stunning Bahamian sunsets. It will offer a unique menu that includes signature dishes, a wide selection of freshly caught seafood, cured and simply cooked premium dry aged steaks and vegetables from local farmers who use the most advanced hydroponic technology. Marcus will be preparing the delicious conch fritter, a national dish of The Bahamas. Marcus' Cornbread for The Table will be available to guests, which is accompanied by hot buttered Bahamian Rum, which is a personal favorite.The interior design is inspired by The Bahamas' warm and colorful culture and traditions. It features artwork from The Current Gallery and Art Center. This hub in Baha Mar for inspiring Bahamian art experiences, The Current Gallery and Art Center. John Cox, The Current's Creative Director for Art, was asked to paint a mural that overlooks the main dining area. All menus include artwork by well-known Bahamian artists. Marcus Up Top will host local DJs and musicians every night at its rooftop bar.
