Starting on 20 August, only vaccinated persons will be permitted to use some public spaces within Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee announced the decision. It applies to shopping centres, restaurants, cafes, and any other retail outlets, other than pharmacies and supermarkets.The first phase also includes recreation facilities, sporting activities, gyms, and health clubs.The committee said that the decision doesn't apply to anyone who has not been vaccinated and was registered on Alhosn App through an approved process.The committee stated that the decision was in line with the emirates strategy for combating the Covid-19 pandemic. It also complements the preventive and protective measures taken to protect public health. This decision comes after vaccination of more than 93% of Abu Dhabi's target groups.As the situation changes, the committee will continue to evaluate all measures and procedures. They also stressed the need to take precautionary steps and choose to get vaccinated. This is the best way to ensure a long-lasting recovery.
