Dustin Bradford/Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesJustin Simmons, fresh from a Pro Bowl season 2020, has set a career record with five interceptions. He joined B/R Monday for an AMA. It covered his Pro Bowl selection and the NFL's worst trash-talker.@notdeucetatum Which was your favourite memory from BC?My favourite memory of BC is the Red Bandana Game for Welles Crowther. He and the Crowther clan...We were playing USC and they were probably ranked in the top 10. However, we won a high-scoring match. It was incredible to win a high-scoring match against a top-10 opponent. The field was thronged with fans, all nine.@CryingCarr What safety model did you use to create your game?I'd say that there were some safeties I saw growing up. Brian Dawkins is a great example of passion and intensity. Eric Weddle is another guy that I admire for his small things. He may not get the attention he deserves.Although I don't think there is one man I look up to, there are many.@rutilab Was there a moment when you were most welcome to the NFL?My rookie year at home, we were playing the Patriots. I was playing my first game with them. Tom & Co. know the legacy they have. It's not clear what happened but I believe it was a false start. The ref was standing next to me, and Tom was shouting at him and literally quoting from the rulebook. As a rookie, I was walking out and hearing the words "Welcome in the NFL". This guy would surely be quoting from the rulebook.@BostonMecca What was it like to be a Pro Bowl player? (Especially since there wasn't an actual match, did that ruin some of the feeling?)It's the most important achievement of my football career. This is because of the many ups and downs that I experienced and the challenges this season has presented. Kareem and I shared a lot of responsibilities. It's because of this that I take great pride in the fact we were able, at least on a personal level, to persevere. It was disappointing not to be able to participate in the game. I understand that safety concerns were being considered, but it is still disappointing that this happened so close to your first Pro Bowl bid.@belacsmoon Was there a reason you decided to start your foundation? (Focuses youth initiatives)My first four years in my career were spent attending every event of my colleagues. My wife and I wanted to take our time, not rush into things we didn't like. It took us four years before we found people who shared our passion for youth. My wife and I know how important it is to speak life into our youth. You'll be amazed at how your youth blossom when you put your energy and time into them. They can achieve dreams they never dreamed possible. That's what I am. It is important to invest in youth. My wife and me want to ensure that the youth know that there are people who will support them in every way possible.@fitchkarma66 Which player is the most funny in the locker room? You're the funniest man...that's a great question. Von is hilarious. Although I am biased because I spend a lot of time around DBs, Von is funny. Kareem is my favorite. He is the oldest vet.@SmokingGun What is the best thing about playing in Denver? The fan experience is my favorite part. Before I was drafted, I knew a lot about Denver. They had won the Super Bowl in the year before. My dad was a huge football fan and taught me about Orange Crush when I was growing up. But, I didn't know anything.Being from South Florida, it was difficult for me to know anything about the West.Fans are the best. They are crazy, loud, and supportive. It's amazing to see the rainbow of orange in the crowd.@parker_A_O Who is the player who has spoken the most trash? He talks a lot about trash, and he is not only Tom. Philip Rivers is the guy who talks trash most often when I'm on the field. It's almost like a rival school on the block. It was amazing. It was clear that he enjoyed it, regardless of whether they won or lost.Philip Rivers is the most ardent trash-talker I have ever seen.@dillonerf21 Who is your favorite NBA player?Growing up, I was a huge Kobe Bryant fan. His game, his mindset, and his attitude are all my favorites. It was all amazing. Mamba will be my name for the rest of my life. Steph and Dame are my favorite. You should watch the Blazers or Warriors if you have the chance. They put on an amazing show.@delusionalfan1 What is your favorite safety that you can watch outside of your team?Ramsey is my favorite. Devin McCourty is my favorite celebrity. Minkah Fitzpatrick. Tyrann Mathieu. If I am playing on one of these teams, I will watch tons of film about them. Budda Baker and Eddie Jackson are just a couple of examples.@mario_judah What was it like to hear that Demaryius Thomas is retiring? It was insane. It was crazy, but a good thing. The Broncos video brought back memories.DT is one the most underrated receivers. Many people don't realize that DT was a truly great guy. T.J. Ward was my first contact when I was drafted. In the locker room, men would tell each other that if they ever needed anything, they could reach me. But DT was more than willing to make an introduction. This was his character. His work ethic, and all the other stuff, will always be there. His character was what I loved the most as a colleague. He is a great guy. He seems to have made this decision and is happy with it.@jacobbenvenuto What do you think about Aaron Rodgers rumors? Would you like to see him live in Denver? That's the elephant in this room. Each Broncos player was asked. Always, I say that AR is AR. He is a HOF-type QB. You can be sure of what he brings to any team that he plays for.It is not my thing to focus on the what-ifs. It happens if it happens. But, I don't enjoy playing with the what-ifs. Drew Lock and Teddy will be our men heading into the season. I want them to know that I am there for them and have their back. I believe in their abilities and that they will succeed for our team.Rapid Fire@SFB_ What is your favorite movie?InterstellarFriday series. If it's on TV, I sit down and watch.@bucketsbob00 Your favorite cartoon?Rocket Power. This was my favorite.@tarantino1 What is your favorite shoe?Vans are my favorite shoe right now. My Fear of God Vans are my favorite. These are my favorite shoes. Stephon Marbury made affordable basketball shoes that came in a variety of colors. I loved those shoes as a child. They were indispensable.@sunsin6ix The best pre-game snack you can get?No. I eat fruit whenever I feel the need. I love pineapple.@cottonwood Do mac and cheese come with a fork, or a spoon?Fork.@aendorf22 What was your first major purchase after being drafted? My truck. It was a Ford F-150 King Ranch.
