In 2016-17 and 2017-18, he won the Lindsay in back-toback years.McDavid is the NHL's most dominant offensive player. McDavid, 24, led the league with 72 assists during the regular season and 105 points. He is now the league's top point-scorer for the third consecutive season.McDavid was second in the NHL for goals scored, but McDavid's 33 was second to Matthews' 41.McDavid's outstanding season helped the Oilers reach the playoffs as No. The Oilers were the No. 2 seed in North Division. The Winnipeg Jets won four of their last games to end their postseason run abruptly.Drafted No. McDavid, a 19-year old, was selected by Edmonton as the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2015. McDavid became a star almost immediately after he won NHL Rookie-of-the-Month three times in the 2015-16 season.McDavid was named an All-Star four more times, and three-time winner the Art Ross Trophy for the NHL's top scorer. McDavid is one of only 10 league players to have won the Ted Lindsay Award at minimum three times.
