The Galaxy Quest TV show is apparently back on

This project was originally in the works for Amazon many years ago. It had had comedian Paul Scheer involved for a while. However, it had been put on hold after the death Alan Rickman. Scheer had a prominent role in the original movie and would have presumably been a major part of any TV version. It seems that Weaver was correct and the show is now back on.AdvertisementGeorgia Pritchett, Succession writer, revealed to The Times (via NME), that she is currently working with Simon Pegg on the Galaxy Quest TV series. The interview doesn't contain any further information, since Pritchett spoke out about her writing career and how she found a niche in American TV where she can make people care about bad people. Tony Shalhoub and Tim Allen were part of the Galaxy Quest cast. They have always been very protective about the original film, especially after it was made a cult classic. We'll see what happens.
