The Incredible Hulk: Hulk vs. Abomination Image courtesy of Marvel StudiosThis moment happened so quickly that you may have missed it. Marvel Studios' latest trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings shows the main character attending a cage match where two creatures are competing. Although they are only visible for three seconds, it looks almost like a green monster is fighting a man in a robe. It's not true. It could not be.AdvertisementMany fans commented that it looked like an old character, the Abomination. He was fighting Wong, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told Rotten Tomatoes. It looks like Wong is fighting Abomination, and that's what I can confirm.Since 2008's The Incredible Hulk which starred Edward Norton playing Bruce Banner, Abomination has not been seen. Although it is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has been mentioned a few times, the movie is mostly forgotten because Mark Ruffalo was cast as Banner in subsequent films. The film introduced William Hurt as Thaddeus Ros, who has been back in many films, and Tim Roth playing Emil Blonsky. He was so desperate to have a taste for Banners power that he became the Abomination. It was also forgotten about, but hell will now be in Shang-Chi.Benedict Wong played Wong, who was first seen in Doctor Strange. He returned in Avengers: Infinity War. He loves tuna melts, and the mystic art. It is expected that he will return to Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness, but it seems likely that it will catch up with him again before then.It remains to be determined what all this has to do the Shang-Chi plot. It seems like Shang-Chi will be fighting one or both of these characters in the trailer. Maybe that is his introduction to the wider superhero community. We won't have long to wait to find out. Shang-Chi opens September 3 with the Legend of the Ten Rings. Are you curious about where our RSS feed went. The new one can be found here.
