HBO Max is finally making its way to Latin America and the Caribbean with a launch there. The platform will be available in 39 countries in the region. It also expands the access to the app between Latin America and the United States, so that subscribers can continue to enjoy content while traveling between the two regions.Although the expansion was teased for some time, it came over a year after the American app was launched. You can watch HBO Max content on multiple streaming devices thanks to the app. It has gained a lot of subscribers since its launch. This is likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic that left people wanting more streaming content.Although the rollout does not offer the new ad supported tier recently launched in the U.S.A, it does include a Standard plan as well as a Mobile plan.Standard plans include three streams of content at 4K resolution. You can also download 30 titles to view offline and create five personal profiles. Mobile plans are more data-conscious and can be used on single-use smartphones and tablets. They allow for up to five downloads, SD streaming, and can also be downloaded as a diluted version.Prices will vary by region. However, Latin American subscribers to WarnerMedia are eligible for a 50% discount if they sign up before July 31st. According to Luis Durn (general manager of HBO Max Latin America), the discount will be valid for as long as the subscription is not interrupted and should spark "joy" and inspire the whole community.HBO Max launches in the region with an unrivalled offer that rewards our first wave subscribers.
