Renew American Airlines elite status with credit card spend

American Airlines sent an invitation to elite members to requalify this year for Executive Platinum. This allows them to earn Executive Platinum again with $15,000 in credit card spending or $2,000 travel spending. This amazing offer is for people who may not otherwise have been able to requalify. The Deal American Airlines makes it easy for elite members to renew their status until January 31, 2023. If you are a member with Gold, Platinum or Platinum Pro status, you can keep your status until 1/23/23. You will need to spend at least $15,000 with an eligible AAdvantage card between July 15 and November 15, 2021. Earn at least $2,000 Elite Qualifying dollars on eligible airline tickets starting September 1, 2021, December 31, 2021. Click here for more information Important Details To qualify, you must have been in status as of January 1, 2021 Requalification can only be done with the above requirements and cannot lead to a higher tier. Requalifying in this manner will not result in any Choice Rewards Quick Thoughts This is a great deal for anyone who had status at the beginning of the year. It's especially good news for World of Hyatt members who received Executive Platinum status in late 2019, but it was extended in 2021. They now have the opportunity to keep it through the entire year with $15K credit card spending. The reduced EQD requirement might be more appealing if you have traveled booked for this fall. However, credit card spending is an easy way to requalify. You will not be eligible for any choice benefits if you have $15K in credit card spending or $2K EQDs. We are hoping United matches our criteria so I can use my travel vouchers to requalify as Silver without needing to return to Marriott Titanium. H/T: One Mile at A Time
