Kevon Looney is exercising his $5.1M NBA option to stay with Golden State Warriors

According to Todd Ramasar, Kevon Looney has exercised his $5.1 million option and will be returning to the Golden State Warriors in next season's playoffs.Before the 2019-20 season, the 6-foot-9 man was signed a $15 million three-year deal with the team.After winning its first three titles, Golden State chose Looney as the 30th overall selection in the 2015 draft.Looney's career averages of 4.3 and 4.0 points per game are not impressive, but he was an integral part of the 2017 and 2018 Golden State championship runs.Looney, 25 years old, started 34 of the 61 games this season as he shared his time with rookie James Wiseman in the starting lineup.
