Paradigm Sports Management filed an multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Manny Pacquiao on Saturday. It was amid a night filled with incredible performances and knockouts from Gervonta Davies and Vasiliy Lomachenko. They also sought to get an injunction stopping Pacquiao's fight against Errol Spence Jr. in Las Vegas on Aug. 21st.Fans should be concerned that a Paradigm lawsuit, which also represents Conor McGregor, will prevent Spence-Pacquiao's scheduled fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua from taking place as planned. His performance after jumping up to two divisions was remarkable, even if it was a little nervy at first. At 130, 135 and 145, where does he rank? Could he be already the second-best in any of these weight categories?Lomachenko's future lies in the middle of these divisions as a sudden shift of heart from the Lopez family seems to have put Lomachenko back on track for his long-awaited rematch against Teofimo Lopez, with all his world titles at stake. Lopez's fight against George Kambosos Jr. has been pushed back to the future due to Lopez's COVID-19 diagnose. Could Lomachenko fight in the interim to keep his sharp edge after one of his best performances? With full title unification off of the table, Joshua will now face mandatory challenger Oleksandr Uzyk on Sept. 25. Could Usyk, the undisputed champion of cruiserweight in the world, ruin Joshua's chance against Fury and Deontay Wilder? Our panel of experts, including Nick Parkinson, Brett Okamoto and Michael Rothstein, examines the most recent headlines to determine what is real and what is not.Manny Pacquiao is seen here fighting Keith Thurman in July 2019. He seems to be ready for a title fight against Errol Spencer Jr. in August. Paradigm Sports Management, however, has other plans. John Gurzinski/Getty ImagesManny Pacquiao will be facing Errol Spence Jr., as per the schedule, in spite of a lawsuitOsuna says: It's not real. When I see Spence-Pacquiao standing across from each other, I will believe that Spence is actually happening. Paradigm intervened in order to stop Ryan Garcia-Manny Pacquiao fighting, and PBC stopped Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua from taking place, so both sides are aware of the potential risks associated with making a fight when there is legal end to tie up.In the past, Pacquaio was known to recruit multiple parties as representation for fight negotiations. They all had Pacquaio in mind when they tried to make the fights happen. But Paradigm is only interested in making money and not in appeasing Pacquiao. This is what worries me most about this fight. I don’t know if Paradigm did anything for Pacquaio, nor do I know if Pacquaio did anything for Paradigm. Although they are still together, what can they offer one another? This relationship never took root, and McGregor-Pacquiao's fight was never a reality. Will Pacquiao be allowed fight before these legal issues are resolved? This is not an easy case. Paradigm might be deemed in the wrong and cannot fight. Or maybe Paradigm allows the fight to take place and gets their cut. This fight could be delayed or cancelled if it is not resolved in court.Gervonta is second at 130, 135 or 140.Rothstein: He is not real, but he is still in the conversation at 130/135. Davis is a great fighter and I placed him on my most recent ballot for ESPN's top 10 pound-for-10. He was impressive in his 140-pound debut Saturday night. He would not be considered the best fighter at 140 if he did not take into consideration Jose Ramirez, Regis Prograis, and other fighters. If Taylor holds his belts, Davis could reach that level one day. Davis, at 140, is still too young and there are many good fighters in this division. It's not impossible to say that he is the second best at 135 Are he still in conversation with Devin Haney, Vasiliy Lomachenko and other Teofimo Lopez alums? It is certain. But is it definitive? It's not close. It's likely that he is between Shakur Stevenson and him at 130 pounds. However, there's talent in there. This is not a slut against Davis or the 26-year old's achievements so far in his career. It's impressive that he can be successful in three different divisions. This is why I consider him to be one of the top 10 overall fighters. He must fight the best fighters in each of his three divisions to be considered the best.Floyd Mayweather, Leonard Ellerbe, and Taylor have great plans for Davis, but Mayweather's statement Saturday night that they want Mayweather to stay with Mayweather fighters and PBC fighters is worrying. Lopez, Stevenson and Taylor are all with Top Rank and Haney is with Eddie Hearn.Prograis, Mikey Garcia, Robert Easter Jr., and Javier Fortuna are the top PBC/Mayweather fighters at 140. However, Mayweather and PBC are not home to many of the top fighters in these divisions so we may see some of them fight. It is not clear when this could be part the big plans Ellerbe and Mayweather have for Davis.Vasiliy Lomachenko will fight a tuneup before taking on Teofimo Lopez 2022Okamoto: It's not real. It's not necessary. Saturday was Lomachenko's best performance. What is he in need of a tune-up? The wait for the rematch shouldn't take too long, as it is right now. Teofimo Lopez Sr. suggested that a rematch might take place as soon as December. Although that may be optimistic considering Lopez's current COVID-19 status remains unknown and his fight against George Kambosos Jr. has yet to be announced, it is possible. Lomachenko could be looking forward to a rematch in the first quarter 2022, even if Lopez defeats Kambosos.Lomachenko is eager to fight Lopez in the rematch. It's a lucrative fight, so why would he rush for another fight? Lomachenko would be expected to keep an eye on Lopez's situation, such as when and how Lopez does in the Kambosos fight. But unless anything changes, Lomachenko stated that he is waiting for Lopez. I agree with him.Anthony Joshua is seen here fighting Kubrat Pulev in December 2020. He will be defending his titles against Oleksandr Uzyk, who was undefeated in September. With a possible future heavyweight unification fight, could he overlook Usyk? Andrew Couldridge/EPA–EFE/ShutterstockAnthony Joshua will be upset by Oleksandr Usyk and his plans to meet the Fury-Wilder 3-winnerParkinson: It's not real. It is hard to argue with Usyk's sharp skills and ring intelligence, as well as his foot movement that helped him win the four cruiserweight titles. However, Usyk may feel that stepping up to fight Joshua on Sept. 25, a bigger and more experienced heavyweight fighter, is a little too early in his heavyweight life.ESPN Ringside Follow us @Insta and Twitter to keep up-to-date with all the latest boxing news.Usyk, 34 (13 KOs, 18 0s), has had a steady start at heavyweight against opponents who weren't a threat to the high ranking in the rankings. This is due to his undisputed title as the cruiserweight world champion. Usyk didn't beat his heavyweight opponents, Chazz Witherspoon or Dereck Chisora, with an earth-shaking performance. He was also not fluent against Chisora (37), in the unanimous points victory in October. The 38-year-old Witherspoon was a late-notice opponent in Usyk’s heavyweight debut in October 2019. Usyk retired exhausted after seven rounds. Chisora was a greater risk, and Usyk was in complete control by round five. However, it wasn't a big statement of intent. Usyk won by just two rounds from two judges.Joshua was able to watch the Chisora fight live from the ringside and decided that it was a good time for him to face Usyk now, rather than when Usyk has adjusted better to life as heavyweight. Joshua has excellent boxing skills -- he won gold at 2012 Olympics as well as silver for Ukraine -- and with his size (Usyk was 217 pounds for Chisora; Joshua was 247 pounds for Kubrat Pulev) and form (Joshua defeated Pulev in the ninth round), Joshua will most likely keep his three titles.
