LSU Tigers starting LT Dare Rosenthal enters transfer portal

Ed Orgeron, LSU coach, said Tuesday that Dare Rosenthal will be missed by the Tigers after the starting left tackle entered into the transfer portal.Orgeron previously stated that Rosenthal could be a first-round pick in the NFL draft.However, the offensive lineman was unable to remain on the field in Baton Rouge. He missed spring practice last year after leaving school. He was suspended indefinitely after he returned to school in October.Rosenthal was reinstated later and he ended up starting five games last year.On Monday, he entered the portal.Orgeron said that Orgeron had personal circumstances that he needed to address on Tuesday. It was hard, but it was the right decision. We wish him all the best. We will miss him."Cam Wire will take over as the starting left tackle after Rosenthal's exit.Wire was in the same position as Rosenthal when Rosenthal was expelled last season.Orgeron stated that Cam has done a fantastic job. He was sixth in line to enter last year. But, guys need to step up. ... To be completely honest, I don't know the name of the second left tackle.LSU will open the season at UCLA on September 4.
