Trump cheered the Maricopa County audit, and continued to promote baseless conspiracy theories regarding election fraud as Republicans from other lost states made pilgrimages to Phoenix in order to examine the possibility of exporting this concept. Arizona Republicans, who are attentive to changes in the state's demographics, say that the audit isn't a political winner.Donald Trump, former President, throws "Save America" hats at the crowd before addressing a rally at Lorain County Fairgrounds on June 26, 2021 in Wellington, Ohio. AP Photo/Tony DejakIt's a failure. It's a joke, according to Sean Noble, a top GOP operative from the state. He advised Republicans elsewhere to avoid it. It's past time, it's time to look ahead.Noble stated that public opinion about the audit is too established to change even though Cyber Ninjas, the company that performed the work, has not finished. Cyber Ninjas announced that its team had completed photographing and counting the 2.1 million Maricopa County votes on Friday.According to Arizona press reports, the final report will likely make claims about election fraud. This is a reflection of the political views of Cyber Ninjas founder, who was featured in a documentary film filled with lies and conspiracy theorists. The audit is opposed by 49 to 46 percent of Arizona voters, which means that the margin of error in the polls is within the range. The survey of 600 voters revealed that opposition to the audit was stronger than support. Its supporters outnumbered those who were strongly in favor of it by 5 percentage points. While Republicans and Democrats split along familiar partisan lines in the end, 18% of independent voters opposed the audit. The audit is bloody red meat for MAGA Republican base. But the problem is that Arizona has become a red state. According to Fernand Amandi who conducted the survey, it is a swing state. This audit could serve two purposes: it may fire up the MAGA base, but also give Democrats an opportunity to convince Arizona voters to stay with them. The poll found that Arizona voters are 9 percentage points less likely to vote for a candidate who supports the audit.Bendixen & Amandi International usually surveys for Democrats. They accurately predicted Trump's reelection problems in Arizona over a year prior to the 2020 election. The firm also conducted a Florida poll before the election that accurately indicated that Hispanic voters in Miami Dade County were more inclined to Trump than most expected.Arizona's opposition to the audit grew with 51% against and 44% in favor. Respondents were also informed about the partisan nature of this effort. It was being conducted by a company with no field experience and election experts. Republican members of Maricopa County Board of Supervisors are opposed to the recount. These opponents pointed out that the voting devices have been checked by an accredited company and that the election results have been validated by a previous audit. These new polling results are very similar to the May poll by Arizona-based High Ground Inc. that found 41% supported the audit and 56% opposed it. The survey found that Arizona voters were 11 points less likely to vote for a candidate who supported the audit.Amandis poll shows that Biden's favorability rating is nearly equally split, with 49% expressing positive opinions and 48% expressing a negative opinion. Trump's negative rating is at 46 percent, and 51 percent have a positive opinion.
