Finally, we have a Bachelorette who does the right thing

Photo by Craig Sjodin/ABCMaybe it was all the seasons of watching Bachelor/Bachelorette make bad decisions. Or kept a toxic candidate like Queen Victoria or Luke P. around, with strong suspicions that they were being forced to do so by franchise producers. As an audience member, you start to suspect that the series leader is just a puppet. But really, aren't we worse than this puppet for watching this garbage?AdvertisementIt is a miracle that Katie Thurston is currently the Bachelorette. She proved to be compassionate and kind in her Bachelor season. But she wasn't about to give up. She was intelligent, funny, and knew exactly what she wanted. She is now The Bachelorette and using those same skills to clear the house of any jerky contestants she may have been paired with for weeks. It's easy to picture her in meetings. It is not something I will do. No.Blake's decision to date his third Bachelorette after the Clare/Tayshia seasons is probably due to the fact that the power sat that Katie kicked out Cody and Karl and Thomas felt that they needed someone to create drama even though that person strongly resembled the lion from the Madagascar movies. In truth, though, I would rather take Blake as king of the jungle than fake bullshit over contestants we know won't win.Since, it was just so nice to have that group date. Although the sexy talk was a bit too raunchy, Andrew S. should probably get rid of his English accent. It was great to see contestants have their backs and enjoy each other. Christian actually waxed Tyes. Christian, sniff! After Thomas's expulsion, wouldn't Katie have given him an extra rose? Blake got the rose. Even the disagreement between the men about telling Katie Thomas was a tool was fairly even-handed. Andrew S. was right that this ridiculous drama derail the show and that it means that not all the guys get enough time with Katie (Christian was also robbed!). However, Katie is supposed to be able discern the disingenuous men if everyone is putting on their best face. Andrew S. would like me to believe that she could figure it out, but he shouldn't watch this show as much. Thomas was able of spewing so much shite, Katie was able see through it all at end.First, she did a great fakeout. It was a clever move by the show to call Thomas up to the rose ceremony, and then cut straight to commercial. This just showed everyone's stunned expressions and Aarons sweary swear. Bachelorette viewers who have been around for a while probably sighed, knowing that this is how things work in the Bachelor franchise. This is probably what made Katie's post-commercial epic smackdown against Thomas so satisfying. He walked up to her, and she took a step back. Justin was not the only one who looked shocked. Your Bachelor audition is finished. You're done.Katie appears to have cleared the house of its most evil residents. There will still be drama. But it will be tied to the romance as Katie and the remaining men compete for Katie's affections. She showed tonight that she might find the happy ending every Bachelorette seeks. She has the courage and confidence to find the man she deserves.AdvertisementStray observationsMichael A. is not nice and pure, and he wisely puts all his attentions upon Katie. I truly hope that they get along. Simply the cutest. It's also surprising to see how much Chris Harrison is missed being host. He barely made a dent in the many rose ceremonies, despite all his years of service to the franchise. Kaitlyn and Tayshia will be with us forever. They'll also get to star in Michelles season, right?Aaron is right there with me. I don't want to be yelled at, especially on TV.I don't understand Quartneys name, or Brendans hair.Do you have the same feeling as me? Did some of these men talk about the house in a throwback week fraternity pledge week?Last week: My apologies for not posting my review. However, my kind editor gave me the evening off to celebrate my birthday.Sorry for not posting a review. However, my editor generously gave me the evening off to celebrate my birthday. Next week: The dark side of Hunter and some very unattractive singlets will be revealed as the men compete in Bash Ball.
