The App Store has released an update to fix the problem, but it seems that the bug only affected the iOS version. Android users won't have the same problem.AdvertisementIronically, the bug was found in a maintenance release released on June 28 to correct a number bugs users had been experiencing. After Snapchat users complained about the bug on Twitter, the issue was first reported. The app displayed a "something went wrong please try again later" message when trying to load it. It then crashed. Jacob Andreou (Snapchat's senior vice president for product) responded to Mitchell Clark's tweet about the issue with a sweaty-face emoticon to inform everyone that the bug was fixed.Snapchat's support team made it clear that they were aware of the problem and advised potential Snappers (? In a tweet, Snapchat's support team said that they were aware of the issue and advised users to "Hang tight!"The problem was solved by a recent update to the App store. It is more likely that the patch was quickly tracked down after Snapchat's product team realized how many people it was affecting. Snapchat, which is already sort of in the drain of obsolescence, can't afford to make users feel like this.If the update has not been downloaded to your phone automatically, you can refresh the updates by clicking on the profile picture at the top right of the App Store.
