SWISS finally introduced Premium Economy on long-haul flights. This new class of travel will be introduced gradually starting in 2021 on all Boeing 777/300/ER aircraft.In 2019, the carrier announced its plans to add a premium economy seat. Now, it has confirmed that 24 premium economy seats will be added to its fleet of 12 Boeing 777-300ERs. The B777-300ERs will be equipped with four classes: standard, business, premium, and standard economy.Installation will begin in the fourth quarter of the year, with the complete fleet being completed by April 2022. The seat pitch has been increased from Economy Class's 78.7 cm to 99 cm. The SWISS Premium Economy passengers will receive a complimentary amenity kit, which is made from sustainable materials. This menu will feature a SWISS Taste of Switzerland award-winning dish, as well as a Hiltl vegetarian option.
