HBO Max renews Made For Love for a second season

Made for Love Photo - John P. Johnson/HBO maxHBO Max today announced it had renewed Made For Love, its dark comedy series. It brought back Christina Lee, and added Alissa Nutting, who was also an executive producer and author of the show's book. The news is based on a press release that contains very few spoilers. However, it does indicate that all the cast, including star Cristin Mioti and Billy Magnussen, will be returning. It would be noteworthy if any of the cast members didn't return, but we won't go into spoilers.AdvertisementMade for Love's first season was about Hazel, a woman who attempted to escape a toxic marriage to a tech billionaire. However, he placed a chip in her brain which allowed him to track everything she did. Milioti was the woman, Magnussen the evil husband, and Romano Milioti, the elderly father. The finale was a surprise. Milioti agreed to go with Magnussen to his sanctuary, in return for saving her father's life. Club heard multiple perspectives from Lee, Nutting, and Milioti on why Hazel made that decision. Milioti noted earlier this year how excited she was to see a second season. She said it would allow her to experience the Russian doll of performing, since her character must find new ways to lie and work around her chip. Milioti teased that her character would like to reach the boss level and be able to follow Hazel's progress.
