Kyle Lowry, a free agent guard, has partnered with Corbin Portillo in Canada to sell an NFT token collection of seven moments from this year's Toronto Raptors championship parade.
Lowry said that it was an ideal opportunity to show love to Canada to Doug Smith, of the Toronto Star. It was special. It gave us a moment.
A portion of the NFTs sold will be donated to the Lowry Love Foundation for veterans.
This collection is the result of two difficult seasons for the Raptors: the bubble in Orlando in the last season, and Tampa Bay being forced to host their home games this season because of travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lowry believes the NFT is a better time.
He said that it showed unity among a nation and the human race. It just showed everyone being together at a point. It was a time and period where we all lived and had fun. It was amazing to see the kids skip school and workers not working.
