YouTube TV now supports 4K streaming, but it comes at a cost

YouTube TV has been around since 2004, but it still lacks a key feature, the ability to stream in 4K. YouTube promised to fix this in a blog post earlier in the year. Now, it is delivering on that promise. YouTube TV will soon have "4K Plus" as an add-on. It will enable 4K streaming as long as you have a compatible TV or streaming device. 4K Plus also allows you to download recordings from your DVR onto a smartphone or tablet. This is a useful feature for anyone who plans to travel more this summer.4K Plus allows you to stream YouTube TV from unlimited devices while you are at home. YouTube TV Basic can stream to three devices simultaneously. However, if you have a large household that relies solely on YouTube TV, 4K Plus will allow you to stream YouTube TV from "unlimited" devices. This all comes at a very high price. You will need to pay $19.99 per month for the 4K Plus addon. This is in addition to your current YouTube TV plan. The basic YouTube TV plan costs $64.99 per month. YouTube TV's price has increased significantly in recent years. If you want 4K, it is easily comparable to a complete cable TV package. YouTube TV might have some advantages over traditional cable, but the pricing is not one. However, it is possible to get a price discount on 4K Plus YouTube offers a free one-month trial to all new users. After that, you can sign up for $9.99/month, which is a great deal over the regular price.YouTube TV users will soon be able to use 5.1 Dolby sound regardless of their plan. YouTube has not provided much information about the process, but it states that it will "start rolling out to selected devices over coming weeks." However, we are unsure of what devices they are referring to.
