MSC Cruises cut steel Monday for its 22nd vessel, the MSC Euribia. The ship is expected to enter service in June 2023.Named after the Greek goddess of the seas, the ship will be named after her.MSC stated that the vessel is their most environmentally-advanced ship to date. It will be built at Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard, St. Nazaire in France.The ship will be MSC’s second vessel to run on liquefied petroleum gas (LNG). It will also be equipped with solutions to reduce its environmental impact. These include an underwater radiation management system, hull and engine room designs that reduce acoustic noise impact and minimize the potential effect on marine life in surrounding waters.In less than one week, MSC named the Euribia as its second ship. The line announced on June 24 that it would name the MSC Seascape, its second Seaside EVO class ship, when it debuts in 2022. MSC stated that the ship would include the RoboCoaster but has not revealed details.
