What Would You Do During A 10-Hour Layover At SFO?

What would you do if you had to spend a 10 hour layover at San Francisco International Airport with your two young children?Layover at SFO for 10 hoursEven though I love flying nonstop and fly nonstop all the time, there are times when you need to connect or stay longer in order to get the best fare. This is true for a family trip via SFO.I'll be there at 10am and depart around 8pm. This means that I will have a ten-hour wait with my four-year old and one-year-old.My options are:Day room at Grand Hyatt SFO $159 plus taxAll day at the United ClubFor the day, San FranciscoChange to a later flight on the same day (unlikely due to full loads). The United Club or the hotel room is my preference. I also enjoy frequent trips through the terminal along with my son to see the planes take off and land. If money was not an issue, I would book the hotel room. However, I don't want to stay up all night before I board a long, overnight flight.I'm not sure $159 was well-spent. I will take a shower at my home before I fly, and the hotel lounge will close. I can then lounge hop to the airport. It's not something I would like to do, but it is a very expensive way to exercise.I love San Francisco and would love to visit the City. I can use Uber, BART, and even rent a car. My son would love the opportunity to ride the cable car. The weather is good. What then? It's not easy to carry a one-year old around.I would recommend a long day spent in the terminal and lounge (there are worse airports than SFO) with lunch or dinner at one of the Priority Pass restaurants.I still wanted to share my dilemma and get your feedback.Let me know what your thoughts would be if you were in my shoes
