One son of ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit no longer with Clemson football program

Jake Herbstreit, a walk-on safety, has been expelled from the Tigers 2021 team.Matt Connolly, Clemson Sports first reported Herbstreits' absence after a 2020 season in which the redshirt freshman had been a member of the scout squad. He had played in four games the year before while redshirting. He played wide receiver against Charlotte, and he also helped on special teams against Wofford, Wake Forest, and Boston College.He is still a student at Clemson and has expressed an interest in creative media. However, nothing has been confirmed.Tye Herbstreit is Jake's twin brother and is a walk-on. He remains with the team. Redshirt sophomore wide receiver has taken 12 snaps in five games.
