Trae Young's Foot Injury Diagnosed as Bruise; Hawks PG Questionable for Game 4

He is now listed as questionable for Game 4 at State Farm Arena against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.This dynamic player is averaging 29.8 and 9.5 points per game over 15 games this postseason.Young injured his ankle in Game 3 after accidentally stepping on a referee's foot while watching from the sidelines during the third quarter. After being stepped on by a referee in the third quarter, Young was quickly taken to the locker room and treated. He returned in the fourth quarter.Young complained about his ankle pain after the Bucks won Sunday's game 113-102 to lead by 2-1.He said that it was sore right now. It's painful, frustrating and it's sore.Young was scheduled for an MRI the next day. The team continued treatment in the hopes that he would feel better in time for Game 4 in Atlanta. The guard scored 35 points in Game 3 and only three in the fourth quarter following his injury. He shot 1-of-4 from the floor.Young described how the "freaky-bad accident" affected his mobility in the final stages of the game.Young stated that Young's speed is primarily what Young refers to as "my blow-by speed." Young said, "Really just my blow-by speed, that's a big piece of my game. I mean, that is a big part, my ability to blow by anyone." You have to use your right foot when you're on your left side trying to blow by.As Atlanta seeks to salvage its season, the Hawks will need to come up with a plan to overcome Young's latest setback. Nate McMillan, interim head coach, will rely more heavily on Lou Williams and Bogdan Bogdanovic as well as Kris Dunn, Tony Snell, to make up Young's absence.
