Trae Young describes how his ankle feels after he injures it in Game 3. (0:34).ATLANTA -- A MRI of Trae Young's right ankle revealed a bone bruise Monday afternoon. He will be listed as questionable for Game 4 against the Milwaukee Bucks.Hawks forward John Collins stated Monday that "that's the head our snake," "That's the last thing that I want to see any Hawks fan seeing is that guy coming down with some kind of knickknack. He may have stepped on someone's or the official's feet."That's what I don't want to see. It's horrible to see, and I just hope, praying that he will be okay."Young injured his ankle in Game 3's third quarter. Young had 36 seconds left before he accidentally stepped on Sean Wright's right foot. Young returned briefly to the locker room, before returning to the game with 8:44 remaining in the fourth quarter.Young, who scored 32 points in the first three quarters of the game, was clearly limited by his injury in the fourth. He didn't have the same pop or explosiveness that he had earlier in this game.He was clearly frustrated after Sunday's game. However, Collins and Clint Capela, his center, said that he was happier when they spoke to him Monday.Capela replied, "Yeah. Evidently we're going have to adapt" when Capela was asked what the Hawks would do if Young is not 100% for Tuesday's match. "I don’t know how -- I’m referring to how many percent or what type of Trae he’s going to have. It means so much to us that he is out there with us."As long he can be there with us, I don’t know if that will happen, but I hope so."Hawks coach Nate McMillan frequently referred to Monday's practice as "get what they need day" for his players. This could include massages, treatment, or even getting shots. Young was certain that Monday would be a day of healing from his injury.McMillan stated that McMillan was feeling "OK". McMillan said that McMillan was disappointed by the loss. Like most men, they have an injury or soreness. You have today to address whatever you need to be ready for tomorrow."So, that's Trae. He is getting the treatment he requires, including a little massage and any other treatments to prepare for tomorrow.McMillan was not focused on the things his team could improve to win Game 4. McMillan was frustrated by two things in Game 3. He had poor quick shots and inability to stop the Bucks from getting in the paint.McMillan stated that McMillan believed we were making quick, contested shots throughout the game. McMillan said, "That was really from all our guards. We didn't have patience to see the matchups or mismatches they gave us, and we took advantage of them. These plays were the catalyst for transition points."I felt there were times when we didn't do enough to keep the ball in front. We let those guys play in the paint and didn't give any help. They missed some shots, and again they beat us to the boards, offensive rebounds. They made plays whenever we tried to make runs to stop their runs. That was what won that game. They took shots when they were needed. They stopped when they were needed. That was what made the game different. The Hawks have had a remarkable playoff run. They went from being 14-20, firing Lloyd Pierce in the middle season, to finishing fifth in the East. In the second round of the playoffs, they defeated two higher-seeded teams, the New York Knicks (76ers) and Philadelphia 76ers (76ers).They won a third consecutive Game 1 on the road to open the series. However, they have fallen back to earth in the last two games. They were routed in Game 2, and collapsed down the stretch in the final quarter due to a barrage Hawks misses, and Khris Middleton's in Game 3.Collins stated that all of this is a learning opportunity for the Hawks. He said it's not just happening game-by-game but every play on his first postseason trip.Collins stated, "It just really demonstrates how difficult it is to win in the playoffs." It shocks me each time I play a new game, every game, about how difficult it is.It always reminds me that this is basketball. This will be the most difficult basketball I have ever played on this stage. This is a real challenge for me because it's really tough basketball right now.
