Kawhi Leonard Ruled Out for Clippers vs. Suns Game 5 with Knee Injury

AP Photo/Michael AinsworthKawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers' star, has been out of Game 5 against the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals because of a knee injury.This is not surprising, considering Yahoo Sports NBA insider Chris Haynes reported previously that Leonard would travel with the Clippers to Game 5 (beginning at 1:15).Leonard has been out of action since Game 4 against the Utah Jazz in the Clippers' second round playoff series because of a knee injury.Haynes stated that the Phoenix flight to Phoenix would be too high for his knees.Leonard, 29, is a two time NBA champion and two-time Finals MVP. He was also a two-time Defensive Players of the Year, five-time All Star and two-time NBA Champion. He averaged 24.8 points per game, 6.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists this season, while shooting 51.2 percent from 3-point range and 39.8 from three.Paul George, with Leonard out, has assumed the majority of the scoring and playmaking duties. However, he is having mixed results. He's shooting 35.4 percent from three and 27.5 points per game against the Suns. In the last two games, he's shot 14-of-46 from beyond the arc.Terance Mann, Reggie Jackson also had more offensive opportunities.After Phoenix's win in Game 4, the Clippers trail the series by 3-1.
